I disagree re the Ayew thing.
We sold him to a fellow relegation battling club, who since beat us, & we didn't replace him with anyone of note.
All in all a fucking terrible deal!!

I didn't get past his history lesson of " I think I'm correct in saying we were in the second division until promotion in 1958" What a joke the man is.

They have been exposed for what they are... disingenuous , con men.
What has yet to happen is one media outlet asking these same questions and revealing this information which many fans are now aware of.
We need a journalist that is not a lazy drunk and will do 5 minutes of investigation... Hard to find one of those these days. :-(

This is entirely the point that G&S have a problem with. Their lies to fans. They made a big thing of not taking wages or interest payments when asked why they charged interest in previous years?
I don't object to them taking interest on loans to West Ham but as soon as WH make a profit they draw £16.5m in accrued interest and loan repayments in one year after years of letting us know they took nothing from the club!
They can't help being greedy liars!

What would his wage actually be for?
The only thing I can remember him stating that he would take on responsibility for was to "look into the issue of safe standing"
How is that progressing I wonder, beyond maybe reading about it on Wikipedia.
His main contribution to the day to day running of the club appears to be mainly comprise of patronising and hypocritical claptrap on Twitter.

"Just to be clear, as of May 2017, Mike ASHLEY had loaned Newcastle United £127 million. No interest, and nothing yet repaid. "
I would Imagine that Ahsley saves/makes quite a lot of money for the free advertising of Sports Direct all over Newcastles ground

All clearly said; Carvelho money going to pay off the debt , bullshit. Admitting they buy players the manager does not want , yet claim they have no say in transfers is amazing The architect to blame for the seats being far away from the pitch, who signed off the plans and agreed it ffs

Just to be clear, as of May 2017, Mike ASHLEY had loaned Newcastle United £127 million. No interest, and nothing yet repaid.
Gold and Sullivan loaned West Ham United £45m, and at May 2017 had made £12.5 million in interest
And yet we are all expected to believe that Ashley is a terrible owner and a wanker, and these are frail old men who support the club.

Is he an investor or is he a fan?
Fans spend/lose a massive chunk of their income on West Ham. If he was the fan he claims to be, he wouldn’t be trying to claim that earning a bit less interest proves how West Ham he is.
I don’t mind them earning as businessmen, but then they should drop this fan business.
A real fan is always going to be out of pocket following and supporting their team.

I think people are getting too hung up on the Ayew saga. He was fucking useless and we are lucky to have got £18m for him, in that regard we did well. The question is why the fuck did we spend £20+ on him in the first place?

Re: David Gold interview on radio

He’s cleverly pointed out he’s losing money lending West Ham money. Any intelligent person would have turned round and countered that easily enough. You aren’t losing money, Mr Chairman you are still making money on your investment, it’s may now only be 4% instead of 10.25 % but don’t fucking try and pull the wool over my eyes and say you are losing money because you are not.
